CAULEY DALLARA
ABOUT US
After meeting Stefano Deponti, CEO of Dallara USA, at an Italian Consulate event in Detroit, Jeff & Joe Cauley quickly hit it off with Stefano and wanted to learn more on the famous racing brand, Dallara. They thought they knew the brand quite well but it turns out there was so much more to the company than they ever knew. After touring their USA operations in Indianapolis where all the INDY CAR chassis are built the next step was to see the main operation in Varano, Italy. It was there they had the pleasure of meeting the company’s founder/president, Giampaolo Dallara, and the CEO, Andrea Pontremoli.
This factory tour was truly eye opening into how deep Dallara’s reach into the motorsports world, and even OEM world, truly was. During the same time frame, Jeff & Joe had become extremely impressed with everything the company was doing, especially with the launch of their Dallara EXP. The Cauley’s immediately purchased one for their own enjoyment and use.
A key moment in the history of the EXP was when the Cauley owned EXP was entered into the PBOC Winterfest 6-Hour Endurance race at Sebring Raceway in Florida. This was the first competition running of the EXP which gathered Dallara’s full factory support. It was a fantastic event and the car performed incredibly well just as expected. As the relationship with Dallara continued to grow and with the Cauley family already being in the car business, it was a very natural next step to come together with a distribution agreement in the U.S.. Both Jeff & Joe have a long history of racing and spending time on track so it was a perfect pairing of the two entities and thus is May of 2024, Cauley Dallara was formed.
